Physical Therapy & Diagnostics

Physical therapy uses a variety of physical modalities that make the healing process more effective and faster. A huge advantage of physical therapy is its non-invasiveness and deep penetration into tissues that cannot be reached with conventional manual therapy.

After more than 12 years of experience working with different physical modalities and devices as a physiotherapist, trainer, and developer of these methods, I can say that it is the combination of physiotherapy and physical therapy that is the key to pain relief. All this experience and knowledge helped me to create unique therapies and movement programs that bring relief to patients and accelerate the healing process.

The Una Vida Center specializes primarily in selective radiofrequency therapy.

Selective RF therapy

Immediate pain relief, increased joint range, muscle relaxation, reduced swelling and regeneration

Electrotherapy & ultrasound

Pain relief, muscle relaxation and nerve stimulation in mobility disorders

Phototherapy

Gentle therapy uses the therapeutic effect of light to promote healing, treat scars, and have an anti-inflammatory effect

Diagnostic ultrasound

Diagnostics for accurate therapy targeting, visual feedback during exercise and evaluation of therapy progress

Selective RF Therapy (TR-Therapy) is above all the most pleasant therapy with immediate results that you can give your body. It embraces a unique combination of manual therapy and deep-acting alternating high-frequency current, which can start the regeneration of damaged tissue, relieve you of muscle and joint pain, intensively warm up tired muscles, absorb swelling, and increase the limited range of motion in the joint after injuries or fractures.

Electrotherapy uses different types of currents with different parameters, thanks to which it has a very wide spectrum of therapeutic effects. It is mainly used for effective pain control, but also to stimulate weakened muscles in post-traumatic conditions, urogynaecological indications such as incontinence, or in neurological patients with central or peripheral nerve disorders (electrostimulation and functional electrical stimulation).

Ultrasound is defined as acoustic waves with frequencies greater than 20 kHz that penetrate through the human body by the principle of particle densification and rarefaction. Ultrasound therapy uses the mechanical energy of longitudinal waves, which are non-invasively absorbed in soft tissues and cause local micro-massage. Ultrasound therapy has applications in the treatment of post-surgical, post-traumatic, and chronic swelling, as well as painful muscle spasms.

A patient´s favorite is combination therapy, which uses the simultaneous application of electrotherapy and ultrasound to relieve painful muscle spasms.

Bioptron lamp is phototherapy and works with polarized light in the spectral band 480-3400 nm, which induces a biostimulating effect in the body and promotes healing in various skin affections such as postoperative scars, cesarean scars, tibial ulcers, or mastitis. It is also used for pain relief in degenerative and inflammatory diseases of the spine, muscles, and joints.

RUSI (Rehabilitative Ultrasound Imaging) uses diagnostic ultrasound for objective examination of the musculoskeletal system, in urological-gynecological physiotherapy and can also be used as a therapeutic tool in patient re-education. Objectification helps to determine the extent of the lesion, effectively target therapy, monitor the patient's development, and evaluate the effect of therapy. In urological-gynaecological physiotherapy, it is used to evaluate the ability to activate and relax the pelvic floor muscles, as well as to assess diastasis. It is also used in therapy as biofeedback when the patient receives visual feedback while performing a movement stereotype or needs to learn the correct activation of the pelvic floor muscles or other deep-lying muscles.
